It’s been one of those weekends… the one’s that come few and far between. One of those weekends that inspire you through and through.
Yesterday was a day for friends. I spent time at B&K’s house for some delicious authentic Cambodian cuisine. It was in honor if Kemry’s 26th birthday! She looked pretty in pink, wearing a peachy pinky chiffon dress with ruffled sleeves and black detailing (buttons and a ribbon tie). It was cute! Very girly… very Kemry. Bo really loves her and it shows! INSPIRATION— to remain loving and truthful to BF! Though we’ve had our share or hair pulling, impulse name calling arguements, its easy to remember that the love we share transcends any frustration we may have with each other.
Later in the evening we headed to Riverside, where Trent celebrated his 24th brithday! It may have been the reminiscing attitude of old friends or the fact that there weren’t many people there, but I felt a sense of belonging last nigh. It was a feeling that I had never felt with my new group of friends. I felt comfortable and secure, and I spoke out and cracked jokes. I was noticed, though I’m sure I have been noticed in the past, but it was different last night. I felt like I was one of them. I felt like I belonged. Cheesy I know, but its true. We weren’t just a group of people with a common interest hanging out. We were a group of familiar faces laughing, sharing memories, and catching up on our present lives. BF and I gave Trent a card and in it I wrote..” you’re like a brother to me and having you in my life means so much”….having them all in my life means so much. INSPIRATION— friends are family too. Last night I felt it. These people are not just friends… they’re family.
Today, was a day for family. We spent the day immersed in the beautiful flora of the Huntington Garden Plant Sale, while basking under the warm California sun.Mom was salivating over the Euphorbia that was selling for $10-$14 a plant. These flowers were bigger than the one’s she has in her own garden. I had to get her one..or else she’d be drowning in a sea of her own drool! (I saved her life with that potted Euphorbia.) For lunch…Chinese. Then back home to chat and catch up with aunties and uncles. I also got a glimpse of M.Jay’s blog thegirlwithacurl.com. She chats up a storm about her love of all things crafty! Craftiness is in my blood. INSPIRATION— i am a part of a long line of gardeners and crafters and home cookers. I need to embrace myself as a Flores woman and embrace the Martha Stewart in me!
There never was a great soul that did not have some divine inspiration. —Cicero
The reason I know we can never be friends is…. I resent that you forgot about me. I felt and still feel abandoned. There I said it!
